Motor Transport Branch

Objective:

The Motor Transport Department is responsible for the maintenance and management of vehicles required for the day-to-day functioning of the Dhule District Police Force.

The work:

• Maintenance and repair of all police vehicles.

• Buying and selling of vehicles.

• Filling of vehicles with fuel and oil.

• Training of drivers.

• Appointment and transfer of drivers.

• Acquisition and delivery of vehicles.

Importance:

Vehicles are very important for the police.

The MT Department is responsible for providing the necessary vehicles to the police force on time and in good condition.

Mobility:

Maintaining law and order, providing security to the most important persons and the normal functioning of the police all require well-powered and mechanically assured vehicles on the roads. This section addresses this need.

The Motor Transport Department in the Maharashtra Police Force is of great importance. This department was established in 1948 and since then it has become very essential for the efficiency of the police force.
